Dried Phyllanthus emblica Fruit (Amla / Indian Gooseberry)

Native of Natural offers Premium Dried Phyllanthus emblica Fruit, globally recognized as Amla or Indian Gooseberry. Revered in Ayurveda as a “Rasayana” (rejuvenating herb), Amla is perhaps the most significant fruit in traditional Indian medicine. It is famously known for having the highest naturally occurring concentration of Vitamin C of any fruit in the world—up to 20 times more than an orange.

Our fruits are harvested when fully mature and dull greenish-yellow. They are then deseeded and dried using low-temperature dehydration to preserve the heat-sensitive ascorbic acid and potent tannins that give Amla its legendary antioxidant power.

Key Features

  • Vitamin C Powerhouse: Exceptionally high in stable Vitamin C, which remains active even after drying due to the presence of protective tannins.
  • Potent Antioxidant: Contains Emblicanin A & B, specific hydrolyzable tannins that scavenge free radicals and reduce oxidative stress.
  • Digestive & Metabolic Support: Traditionally used to improve nutrient absorption, regulate blood sugar, and support healthy cholesterol levels.
  • Immune Modulator: Enhances the body’s natural defense mechanisms and supports respiratory health.
  • Hair & Skin Vitality: A staple in “Clean Beauty” for promoting collagen production, strengthening hair follicles, and brightening the complexion.
